Celebrating Bruce Hope

PROS Parts, a leading supplier of parts for drycleaning and commercial laundry equipment, announced today that Bruce Hope, Operations Manager, will be retiring at the end of April after more than 35 years in the industry.  

For more than three decades, Bruce has brought knowledge, dedication, and humor to the drycleaning and industrial laundry industry. At PROS, he has worn many hats—working across all areas of the company to ensure teams and functions worked together and that customers had the best possible experience. He managed IT functions, supported operations, and inspired the sales team to build strong relationships with customers and vendors. Many customers have worked with Bruce personally over the years, and his conversations with long-time customers can often be heard throughout the office as he works to ensure their operations are up and running.

Bruce is an avid biker—biking 20 miles each way to and from work. He is a passionate environmentalist with a hobby of walking the streets around our office picking up trash. He loves history and music, and bad dad jokes that he uses to entertain (or possibly torment) the team.

“Bruce has been my partner throughout the nearly 40 years I have owned PROS,” said Barry Victor, Owner of PROS Parts. “He has been instrumental in building innovative systems that have moved us forward. He is a trusted friend and partner to our customers and vendors, and he brings humor to all he does. He will be missed by many, but his professional legacy will live on. We are grateful for all Bruce has added to the success of PROS and our customers.”

About Barry Victor
Barry founded PROS Parts in the spring of 1988. Before starting PROS, Barry worked in the sales and engineering departments of Vic Manufacturing, one of the largest manufacturers of dry cleaning equipment in the U.S. At Vic, Barry launched a parts sales division that supported dry cleaning equipment imported from Italy and Germany. In its early years, PROS manufactured dry cleaning machinery and supported the parts needs of owners of Italian drycleaning machinery. Later, they added industrial and commercial laundry equipment parts. Barry lives in Plymouth, Minnesota with his wife. He has two sons, a stepson, a stepdaughter, and his dog, Sora.
